| The Japanese Daito Katana Sword Set includes: daito (katana or long sword), wakizashi (short sword), tanto (knife), each with a scabbard and a display stand for the set. The general design and shape of the swords are based on designs of Master Masamune (circa 1326), Japan's legendary samurai swordsmith. Each piece of the set includes independent geometry and a high resolution (2048 x 1350) texture map. The blades themselves have the traditional visible hamon (temperline) in a ko-choji pattern. Artistic license was taken with the inclusion of the dragon and reference to Miyamoto Musashi's "A Book of Five Rings" (circa 1645) on the fuchi and kashira of the katana. The sanskrit character for "Ken" (sword) adorns each of the habakis and the kashira of the katana. Due to the independent high resolution textures maps, a hefty amount of RAM is recommended if using the entire set in a scene. You can always downsample the texture maps if you experience memory problems.
